Shipping Manager
We are looking for an experienced Shipping Manager to support Fjällräven Production organization for a 12-month parental leave contract!

Fenix Outdoor is seeking an experienced Shipping/Logistic Manager to join our team and ensure our products reach the right place at the right time. This critical role will oversee the Fenix Outdoor Brands, primarily Fjällräven, outbound from suppliers, managing shipments to our warehouses in the Netherlands, Germany, US, Canada, and Norway, to be an important link, in ensuring seamless distribution to our customers worldwide.
As part of our international team, you’ll collaborate with production, procurement, suppliers, forwarders and sales teams to align shipping operations with our company’s goals and customer expectations.
This position is a full time, 12-month parental leave cover based from our Solna office in Stockholm, SE.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Shipping Manager, you will:
- Lead and mentor a small team of shipping coordinators, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- Anticipate and address shipping issues and changes in the logistics supply chain, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for brand teams, answering questions and providing shipping updates.
- Tackle challenges related to customs, packing, and delivery, and engage with stakeholders to find solutions.
- Continuously improve and update shipping processes for the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers (Tier 1), forwarders, warehouses, and sales companies.
- Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects involving warehouses and forwarders.
- Act as the key link between product sourcing, warehouses, suppliers, customs brokers, and forwarders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing relationships with freight carriers and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
- Tracking and resolving transportation issues, such as delays, damages, discrepancies, or lost goods.
- Collaborating with warehouses to plan efficient inbound operations and resolve issues related to packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Ensuring shipping compliance with company and brand-specific regulations, including standards for labeling, packaging, and product handling.
- Preparing and presenting accurate reports with relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management.
- Monitoring the performance of logistics partners and suppliers, providing feedback, and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Participating in company projects such as new ERP implementations and customs-related initiatives.
- Collaborating with customs brokers on preferential tariffs and supporting HS code classification.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for candidates with:
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management.
- A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of logistics software and ERP systems (experience with ERP implementation is a plus).
- Familiarity with preferential tariffs, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and customs regulations and Incoterms.
- Experience working with international suppliers and managing seasonal inventory (preferably in the apparel or fashion industry).
- Fluent English skills, with strong negotiation and communication capabilities.
