The anticipated wage for this tailor position is approx. $18 per hour.

Fjällräven Tailors elevate our guest experience and provide our guests with meticulous alterations and professional customizations to our outdoor gear. The ideal fitter/sewer will be familiar with technical fabrics and be motivated, results-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. Experience working in a retail environment is preferred as this is a customer-facing position, and you'll be expected to interact with guests.

- Understand the extent and difficulty of each alteration or customization and provide cost estimates to the customer.
- Track work in an Alterations Log with a detail-oriented mind and a commitment to accurately document the different stages of progress.
- Communicate with customers to understand what must be altered or repaired and determine how to ensure that their specifications are met.
- Work on perfecting your skills to master all alterations and customizations on every brand style.
- Organize workload and complete items on time to meet or exceed productivity targets.

WHO YOU ARE
Requirements for this role:
- You have advanced experience in alterations/tailoring, mending, and repairing in retail, including:
- Working with all types of materials we make our products with - Wool, Down, Leather, etc.
- Hemming pants with various cuff styles
- Zipper replacement in trousers and parkas
- Shortening sleeves
- Repairing and patching garments
- Taking in and letting out seams
- Taking accurate measurements
- You have deep knowledge about safety and the proper use of all equipment in the shop, including:
- Industrial sewing machines
- Serger machine
- Button-press machine
- High heat irons and heat guns
- You have a passion for the environment and are a sustainable explorer of the outdoors.
- You are an effective communicator with experience in customer service and selling.
- You are efficient, organized, dependable, adaptable, and can prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- You effectively and respectfully collaborate with diverse teams to create a positive customer experience and inclusive workplace environment.
- You are comfortable with basic math and written English skills.
